Are there other fruits added to true wine other than grape?

Often, when you read a wine review, it will say the wine has “hints of cinnamon” or “hints of berry” or “hints of licorice.” Are other items ever added to true wines (as opposed to, say, wine-based drinks), or are these flavors simply a biproduct of the grapes fermenting?
